As stated by Google, on swiping up from the bottom of the Google Maps home screen you
will be furnished with Places tab, a Driving tab and a Transit tab.

these tabs?? Let me describe you briefly
The Places tab delivers an accurate list of nearby
restaurants, data of nearby ATMs, pharmacies, gas stations and grocery stores.
With driving tab, users are updated with nearby traffic
conditions and real-time ETAs (provided home and work addresses saved). On
choosing, “start driving” you will be bestowed with real-time traffic info
during route.
The Transit tab assists you with bus and train
recommendations depending on user’s saved home and traffic addresses, along
with ETAs for arrival times. For alternative locations, users can swipe down to
find nearby transit stations and schedules.
