Instagram Now Lets You Add Up to 10 Photos and Videos in a Single Post

The latest trend that all users accept is the feature of story telling in social media circles. All major social media platforms strive to enrich their theme with more context and creative skills that users prefer.

Instagram has now modernized into a new update called Snapchat which gave its start with Stories, which allows users to share plenty images and short clips. Facebook has made this update active in its main app also. Twitter losed transaction on going with memories but it is narrative driven, ensuring a complete picture on any given topic.

With this Instagram has made its users more convenient with a new story telling format, with which we can share up to ten photos and videos in a single post. Share more, Adore more.

This new feature was initially tested earlier this month, and it mimics the carousel ad format. This format came with a new look that users wish. It was enriched with more context and comprehensive overview of any given subject.

Instagram it clears, by stating that With this update, you no longer have to choose the single best photo or video from an experience you want to remember. Share your favorite moments of your best friend’s surprise birthday party - from setting up to when they walk through the door. Or create a step-by-step cake recipe that people can always find on your profile.

Wanna create a multi-image post? Tap the ‘Select Multiple’ option at the bottom of the photo or video you’re gonna upload. From there, you can opt the content you want to include – they’ll be numbered and in the same order they’ll be presented in the carousel (you can also rearrange the order by holding down and dragging on screen).

On selecting your elements to be uploaded, you can also edit and add filters to each selected image. You will be bestowed with only a single caption and location tag for the entire set, and the likes and comments your post faces can be grouped together also.
An important note for you users, just look at it, only square-cropped photos are available in the new format at this initial stage. Once the images are posted successfully, it will be highlighted as a multi image post at the top right corner of the cover image. It is also made easy for viewers by indicating dots beneath the frame to list the collections similar to the carousels ad.
Adding to the storytelling options, Casey Newton from The Verge also stated that:
the carousels can feel like a more permanent version of Instagram stories - complete narratives that live on your profile for as long as you like.”
For individuals, it’ll ensure another way to add more context without jumbling your feed with multiple posts. For brands, Instagram paves another way to express an idea and to add more depth which may be a vital part.
Instagram has now owned over 600 million users, with 400 million active users every day. In addition, 150 million people are using Instagram Stories every day, enhancing the popularity of storytelling on the platform. This makes sense for brands to consider how platform use is essential, and how they can switch into the narrative trend by using the various options now at their disposal.
Five million businesses now signed up Instagram for business profiles, magnifying the competition all over. Instagram saysmulti-image posts are available as part of Instagram version 10.9, which is available for iOS and Android now, though several reports note that it may not be available for all just yet.
